Merry Christmas to all and thanks for answering all my questions as I am working on my first guitar.

Yes Santa, was good to me as he brought a plunge router base for my Bosch Colt.

Season's greetings to all, and the very best in the New Year.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Merry Christmas, all! Received a razor saw, magnified headset, and a set of nice rulers! My wife tried to get me the Gore/Gilet books, but they are out of stock, for now. Hopefully, they will be ready by the Spring! Looking forward to getting them! :D

Merry Chistmas to all of you!

I would like to add that if it were not for your tireless answers to my endless questions, I would not be where I am in this art form. Thank you.

Mike
